Our Team

Dr. Jeff Dand - DVM & Owner/Operator as of May 2017

Picture
As a veterinarian I always wanted to have a stress free environment for pets and not to have time limits on appointments. After 20 years of clinical practice I can now pursue this style of veterinary care. In 1997, I graduated from the Atlantic Veterinary College. I was then awarded an intensive one year internship in Florida, which focused on medicine and behaviour. This is where I discovered my strong interest for pet behavior.

After Florida, my wife and I moved to Calgary. For my next phase of growth in veterinary care, I worked emergency medicine and eventually got my first practice. By focusing on quality care and compassion, the practice grew to four clinics and a world class pet resort. With a great support team of nurses, vets assistants and managers in place, I have been able to move to beautiful Victoria. Here my family is enjoying the city, the schools and the friendly neighbors.

We have three rescue pets. Sheriff is our Domestic Long Hair (He is the boss of the gang). Cola is a Lab crossed with Pitbull (his nickname is Eeyore). Rocco is a Rotti mixed with Lab ( his nickname is Tigger). The dogs love the beaches and parks.

We are now focusing on contributing to the community. My wife, being a geriatric human nurse and myself, being a vet who deals a lot with older pets, we have been asked a lot to get working, so here we are.
